Inward Investment
The objective of the Inward Investment Facility is to
attract larger enterprises with a particular focus on public-private and
private-private partnership, which aims to bring together local and external
financial and other resources and initiatives.
The investment facility will bring together the private and public sector
in ventures where substantial investment is required from both sides.
Target groups:
- Medium (25+employees) and large enterprises (100+ employees)
- Public/Private or Private/Private partnership
Staff of the IIF identifies medium and large enterprise opportunities
and:
- Liaises with the Private Sector Commission, the Guyana Manufacturers’
Association (GMA), The Association of Regional Chamber of Commerce (ARCC),
Local Chambers of Commerce, the Small Business Association and other
business associations in Guyana, to promote potential investment opportunities
in Region 10
- Works directly with the Guyana Office for Investment (GO-Invest) and
the Privatisation Unit to build mutually beneficial relationships
Networking to promote investment partnerships by:
- Liaising with private and public sector organisations/associations
and investment promotion agencies throughout Caricom
- Liaising with investment promotion agencies in neighbouring countries:
Venezuela; Brazil; Suriname
- Liaising with international organizations/associations and investment
promotion agencies to promote investments
